1988.2Contracts with the Sao Paulo State League "XV de Jau". Joins the Sao Paulo League, which is considered to be the most prestigious league within the football world. Here, Kazu scores the first goal ever to be made by a Japanese against the Corinthians, strongly appealing Kazu's name throughout Brazil.[photo]
1988.11Takes an active part in the Copa Union (Brazilian Championships), the summit of Brazilian football. At the end of the year, Kazu is awarded the distinction of the third best left-wing player by a panel of football journalists.
1989.2Signs formal contract with "Coritiba FC" of the Parana League. Celebrating their eightieth anniversary this year, the Coritiba achieve their first victory in three years, marking this one as their 29th one.
