We just received the following message from Kazu, who is currently in Milan, for everyone accessing this site.

As probably reported by now, I am currently in Milan. Although there's no need for me to run and hide, the media is still making calls at the hotel I'm staying in. They seem to be asking for some comment from me, but everything I say right now will be incomplete, so I'd rather return to Japan and then make my comments properly from my own mouth. My state of mind is stable and there is absolutely no cause for concern over my well-being. It's just that people like my friends, who have called me, are in a state of shock, and that's what's making me worry more. Kitazawa is also taking this situation well, so please don't worry.
Despite the way we seem to be, we are strong.
Although, it is very difficult to begin to cheer up, when we return to Japan, we would like to begin training to prepare ourselves for the Nabisco Cup and J.League games. Before that, however, I believe I would like to rest for a while. My heart is with all the players battling it out in France for Japan right now. Actually, I would have liked to remain behind and root for the team in their game against Argentina, but, you know, things would have just turned into a commotion again. . .
I hope all of you rooting for me will do the same for the Japan team.
Soccer has just begun. This is not the end at all. I look forward to your support from now on as well. Thank you. |
